Position Location:
Nodak Electric Cooperative, Inc., 4000 32nd Avenue S, Grand Forks, ND 58201

Purpose for the Position:
To assist in planning and facilitating Cooperative's technology work plan. Size, purchase, install, maintain, and troubleshoot PC and server hardware/software. Monitor and maintain software licenses and certificates. Troubleshoot and maintain phone system, building HVAC monitoring system, building security technology, UPS systems, switches, routers and peripherals. Provide training and guidance to employees for secure and proficient use of software.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree preferred, two-year technical or associate degree required, in Information Technology. Additional education and credentials in Computer Science preferred. Three to five years of progressive computer experience preferred.

Abilities/Skills:
Applicant must have experience in setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of PC/server systems, network routers, switches, and related peripheral equipment. Demonstrated experience of MS Office365 products, PC/server network and operating systems, software installation/administration, and operating/managing mobile device technology. Preference given for experience in remote desktop procedures, Microsoft Domain Authentication, SonicWALL firewalls, MS operating systems, SSL VPN, Veeam, VMware and Apple operating systems. This position will serve as administrator of our consumer information system and Nodak's internal help desk.

Successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to effectively understand and communicate computer software and hardware issues and provide assistance, training and feedback to internal and external customers.
