St. Bonaventure University is seeking a Network Services Manager who would be responsible for supporting all aspects of the University’s network, wireless, telecommunications, and server infrastructure. In this position, he/she will responsible for the testing, creation and modification of the University communications networks and systems; development and recommendation of policies and practices; develops, negotiates and implements all vendor relations regarding communications networks and systems. Manages budgetary planning, prioritizing, implementing and evaluating of network projects and support contracts for all communications networks and systems as well as construction/renovation projects with regards to communications needs. Researches, analyzes, develops and recommends new and different hardware and software for all University communication systems and networks based on University needs and analyzes and develops preventive maintenance programs for all University communication systems and networks.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Demonstrated experience with layer 3 network routing, switching, server support, network security, and wireless networking is preferred. This should include the ability to work with routing protocols, ACL’s, VLAN configurations, and advanced security measures as well as Windows Server and Linux Operating Systems.
