We are seeking an experienced Chief Information Officer for our First Quality Enterprises, Inc. location in Great Neck, NY. The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will have overall responsibility for enhancing and implementing the technology strategy, building the strength of the IT organization and leading day-to-day execution for First Quality, ensuring alignment with the organizations strategic business direction. The CIO is expected to be a strategic business partner by understanding key business drivers and building effective relationships. The CIOs primary responsibility is to oversee all technical aspects for the company, establish and directs the strategic long-term goals, policies and procedures for the information technology department. The CIO will advise First Qualitys Ownership and Leadership team as to the long-term systems needs and any hardware acquisitions needed to accomplish the organization’s business objectives, and also guides the implementation of First Qualitys technology architecture based on the business architecture and corporate strategy. The CIO must provide highly effective leadership to the IT team to ensure timely and effective delivery of critical technology programs, initiatives and business solutions, while creating a positive culture and high employee engagement and trust. The successful leader will be required to balance strategic leadership with a hands-on approach to operational and financial management in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a proven leader who is technically savvy, capable of building strong relationships and being an advocate for technology across First Quality. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial nature and will be comfortable working in a team-oriented, results-focused environment. The CIO will be able to elevate strategic discussions around leveraging IT by drawing upon their strong business acumen. The role requires excellent communication skills and someone who is able to articulate varied technical and business strategies, as well as the technology requirements of key stakeholders. Primary responsibilities include: * Establish the technical vision and leads all aspects of technological development, direction and future growth * Provides hands on tactical guidance to the IT operations * Works in a consultative fashion with other department heads, such as marketing, accounting and operations as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness * Treats operational departments and end users like valued customers and helps meet their IT objectives * Establish and direct the strategic and tactical goals, policies and procedures for the IT organization and ensure it has the right skills and talent to deliver on strategy * Create and sustain a team culture that fosters knowledge sharing, innovation and excellence * Acts as a good steward of resources and ensures control of IT departmental budgets * Ensures system and data security is maintained at all times * Partners closely with Information Security to establish, maintain and direct cyber security policies * Maintain awareness of industry developments and new products and applications that may assist the company in defining and maintaining its competitive edge * Ensure compliance with regulations, standards and codes of good practice relating to information and document records management, information assurance and data protection The ideal candidate should possess the following: * Bachelors degree in computer science or related field; MS/MBA degree preferred * Minimum of 15 years of experience in technology related roles of progressively increasing responsibility, with a minimum of 3 years in a CIO or divisional CIO/senior leadership role * Minimum of 10 years of experience leading high performance teams of 50+ IT professionals * Extensive knowledge of functionality, architecture and processing of new and existing business technology solutions * Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a reputation as an excellent influencer, negotiator and decision-maker * Experience successfully envisioning and defining strategic plans and leading transformation initiatives * Strong knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications and networked systems * Strong understanding of project management with the proven ability to set and manage priorities * Superb leadership skills, with the ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate across all levels of the organization * Experience working in manufacturing organizations highly preferred * SAP experience highly preferred Excellent compensation and benefits, which are effective the first day of employment!
