Chief Information Officer
Portage County Information Technology Services is seeking a Chief Information
Description and Requirements:
- Officer (CIO) responsible for directing the County’s strategic direction, development and future growth related to technology projects, data management and security, acting as an advisor of technologies to elected officials and department heads, procuring, implementing and managing public sector technology and leading, directing and managing IT personnel.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of information technology operations, applicable provisions of Ohio Revised Code, Ohio County government and extensive experience with IT contract management, budget management, disaster recovery and strategic planning.
- Must possess comprehensive knowledge of IT management and administration as evidenced by a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Master’s Degree in Public Administration and/or combination of other relevant degrees, certifications, or training.
- Minimum 5 – 10 years of relevant IT management or supervisory experience required.
