Position Summary:

The Enterprise Applications (EA) Web Services Full-Stack Web Developer (Developer), a full-time university staff (non-classified position), builds on and extends the Content Management System (CMS) platforms creating scalable, reliable, reusable and modular solutions. We are looking for someone who likes to work on all aspects of web applications from the underlying database layer through the business logic and API layers, as well as the user interface. Excellent front-end skills including CSS, HTML and JavaScript are required.

Examples of Work Performed:

Work closely with other developers and team to architect, develop and deploy data-driven robust, sustainable, scalable web applications, services and solutions using *******, MVC and .NET framework according to specifications and planned requirements
Design, code and test enhancements, change requests and bug fixes as assigned
Maintain and enhance existing C# applications, websites, databases and user interfaces
Maintain code base in Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS)
Provide end-user support for the suite of team owned applications
Work closely with the Delivery Manager and Program Management in order to be intimately familiar with a project’s schedule, requirements and key features. Provide estimates on timelines and development efforts, consult and answer questions regarding technical aspects of a project or component

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position has been established at $ 72,000 to $82,000 and is commensurate with skills and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of four years of college with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with major emphasis in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Information Systems or a closely related field.
2+ years web development experience
2+ years experience with Microsoft .net
2+ years of JavaScript, HTML/CSS experience.
Experience with SQL Server

Professional web application development experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.Preferred Requirements:

Experience with mobile first, responsive and adaptive design
Experience with REST API development and integration
Experience with end user support
Experience in Sitefinity CMS customization including custom modules and custom functionality implementation
Microsoft or Sitefinity development certifications, a plus
Understanding of UX practices and principles
Experience with a product management approach to software development a plus
Knowledge of Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SCRUM)
Experience working with teams using Microsoft Development Platform (.NET, SQL, TFS)
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Abilities:

Ability to work closely with others in a project-based Agile environment (SCRUM). Good teamwork and communication skills are essential
Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns and .NET application architecture
Expert in C#, *******, MVC, Web API , HTML5, JS, and SQL
Experience provisioning and integrating CMS applications and systems integration
Knowledge of Accessibility practices, 508, WAI-ARIA, WCAG 2.0
Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices
Experience with JavaScript, AJAX, and JavaScript frameworks such as JQuery or Angular or Bootstrap
Experience developing web applications including user experience and user interface design
Understanding of version control systems, preferably Team Foundation Server (TFS)
Experience or training with software development lifecycle practices and use of development, test, and production environments
Experience with enterprise database management system (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2).
Committed to vigorously testing all code
Professional service oriented and interested in taking ownership of their work
Meticulous and detail oriented
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize as needed
Self-starter and ability to work independently or on a team
