Home Connect is our connected home appliance generation, a new brand and part of our Internet of Things and Smart Home Solution. Within Global IT-North America we ensure the availability of the necessary Home Connect infrastructure as well as product quality. With direction from the Team Leader Home Connect, the IT Quality & Test Engineer Home Connect will be responsible for testing new Home Connect functionalities and partner implementations for the regional market release as well as consult and support regional partners in the proper usage and integration of their applications with Home Connect. This position will work closely with our global team as well as our regional partners, to assure the expected high quality of our Home Connect brand. Qualifications * Bachelors degree in IT, Quality Control, Engineering or related field or demonstrated competence, relevant experience. * Minimum of 3 years of test experience in an agile project environment * Experience in home appliance or Internet of Things field preferred * Experience in API level testing (automated and manual) via tools Postman, SOAP UI * Experience with Atlassian products (Wiki/Jira/XRay) and continuous integration tools (Bamboo or similar) * Proficient with test standards, tools and management * Affinity and high interest in Smart Home and Internet of Things solutions * Detail oriented and passion for testing as well as finding issues in the system * Ability to work in a global, distributed team within various time zones * Quick learner, self starter and high level of initiative * Ability to prioritize, follow up and work in a structured way * Able to focus on priorities and work on several topics simultaneously * Ability to communicate with both technical experts as well as management, to ensure complex topics are understood * Good written, verbal and presentation skills to address topics of concern * Strong organization and interpersonal skills to work efficiently with different user groups and cultural backgrounds * Fluent in English ( German is a plus) * Understanding JSON, XML, YAML data formats and OAuth * Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Knowledge of Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau Home appliances a plus * Experience working with 3^rd party products such as Amazon Echo, Nest, drop, etc a plus What will be your job functions? * Understand the functionality of new Home Connect features about to be released to market and ensure your continuous knowledge built up * Align with global test management and local business to plan and schedule tests needed for the regional release * Write test specifications and test cases for regional functionalities, which are not covered by the global test set. * Execute tests with passion and the interest of the end consumer in mind * Document and communicate the test status, progress report results and status to stakeholders * Test global and regional partner integrations via our Home Connect App or API for our regional release * Consult and support selected regional partners in the usage and integration of their solutions via our Home Connect API * Act as regional knowledge carrier for new Home Connect functionalities as well as our API * Identify process gaps and communicate to your Team Lead This position is eligible for the BSH Associate Referral Program EOE / AA Employer We participate in E-Verify
