Will support application development in developing space weather science operational software applications. Additional responsibilities include devising automated testing solutions, validating testing environments, and establishing testing strategies in functional, performance, and security. Additionally, may serve as system administration in a limited capacity.
4+ years of experience in software engineering and software testing in real-time mission critical systems. Experience in developing in multiple OO (Object Oriented) languages (C / C++), Java, and .NET in an IDE environment. Familiar with various testing methodologies such as TDD (Test Driven Design) and using automated testing framework such as xUnit and others. Must be familiar with developing in a Linux environment. Must be knowledgeable about information assurance practices in compliance with NIST security policies and procedures. Looking for individuals with innovative techniques and ideas in testing numerical analysis or imagery analysis applications. Experience or background in space weather science is highly desirable.
Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a Secret Clearance to enter the applicable government facility. Secret clearance preferred.
BS in computer science, computer engineering, related discipline, or equivalent. MS preferred.
