And were looking for more. The Team: The Intelligence & Analytics teams mission is to create analytics to drive client growth and engagement. The team is responsible for data science, generating insight, developing tools, expertise in data and report automation, and economic thought leadership. The team creates competitive advantage through data analysis to drive better and faster decision making by the firms senior leaders. The team brings diverse skill sets together, combining intellect, market expertise, statistical and technical skills, and ingenuity. The team is one of the key thought leadership groups at the Exchange and serves the broader units to identify and promote significant market and client opportunities. Job Description: Contribute to the teams analytical agenda. Analyze patterns and correlations among derivatives products, clients, and other data sets to generate actionable insight. Perform sophisticated, large-scale data analysis. Brainstorm, design, and implement internal and external data products and applications. Work with IT teams to help operationalize repeatable analysis, tools, and applications. Responsibilities: 1. Gather and process both structured and unstructured data at scale (including writing scripts, web scraping, calling APIs, write SQL queries, etc.). 2. Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to find opportunities for data driven solutions, especially where applicable for clients. 3. Apply data mining, machine learning, natural language processing, or information retrieval to resolve business needs and creating new opportunities. 4. Build Dashboards to measure success for multiple, disparate, and bespoke metrics 5. Present analytical information in front of large group of business users. 6. Capable of investigating, familiarizing and mastering new datasets quickly. 7. Identify opportunities to leverage big data. 8. Stay current with leading edge systems, methods, and best practices for big data/data science analytics and data infrastructure. 9. Transform Data into Insight and Insight into Action Education & Experience: BS/BA in Computer Science and Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent experience utilizing a different degree MS or progress towards MS in Computer Science and Engineering including Machine Learning, Advanced Mathematics, Applied Statistics is preferred A minimum of 2 years of statistical modeling and programming experience A minimum of 2 years of experience in enterprisewide database system is required 1+ year of experience interacting with data in Apache Hadoop or Cloud Services preferred (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure) Combination of technical/quantitative and business acumen are strongly preferred Job Qualifications: Strong skills and experience using statistics and machine learning. Strong programming skills in Python, R (Numpy, SciPy, Pandas, and scikit-learn) and any one of the major object-oriented programming language (Java, Scala, C++, C#) Expertise in SQL and Analytical SQL Functions (Spark SQL, Oracle, Postgres, etc.) Expertise in data visualizations, using using packages – Matplotlib, ggplot2, or Tableau. Experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive, and other Big Data technologies Experience with AWS (EMR, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Athena, etc.) or other similar cloud services Experience working with version control tool Git, Stash, Bitbucket Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to properly prioritize work Knowledge of Commodity and Financial Derivatives Markets, especially in futures and options trading, are recommended See Job Description
