Network Security Engineer
Analyze complex local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, and selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices. Analyze and resolve routing and switching systems for performance, throughput, resource usage, high availability, and scalability across all platforms. Review network infrastructure systems to ensure adequate capacity, performance levels, and upgrade requirements. Design, configure, and maintain complex network infrastructure with mixed vendors. Configure systems to the user environment. Act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership to junior employees. This position is located in Lexington Park, MD.
-Experience with networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, e – mail filters, and network analyzers
-Knowledge of military and federal security doctrine, including NIST 800 – 53 and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
-Ability to work and learn independently, communicate ideas clearly, and collaborate in a team environment
-Top Secret clearance
-Security+ CE or CISSP Certification
-Experience with network and concept development modeling and simulation software and Python scripting
-BA or BS degree in a technical field
-ACE, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CEH, CSEP, or GPPA Certification
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
