Performance Engineer (, Inc., Midvale, UT) Multi openings available. Monitor, analyze, & report performance metrics for pre-prod & production environments. Collaborate with teams finding, isolating, & addressing source of performance degradation. Assist in educating teams on performance optimization techniques. Ensure that apps & infrastructure meet current & future performance needs. Automate & enhance performance testing, monitoring, & reporting. Provide guidance to product & engineer teams on tools & methods used to find performance issues & provide best practices on building performant & scalable products. Integrate performance testing tools into the continuous delivery pipeline. Review business requires, architectures, & product designs to assess whether performance requires are considered & quantified. Research & implement new technologies &/or products to help diagnose & improve website performance.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Engineer, Computer Engineer, Comps & Info Tech, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree will accept 3 years of post-sec studies in Engineer, Computer Engineering, Comps & Info Tech, Comp Info Systems, Computer Science, or related plus 1 year experience in testing software apps. Must have 3 years professional experience in performance testing, monitoring, analyzing, & tuning web apps & supporting infrastructure.

Must also have: any professional experience reading & writing software code using programming languages (include CSS, Java, HTML, JavaScript or SQL); any professional experience writing & automating performance tests; any professional exp using browser development tools (include Chrome, Firefox, Safari or IE) to diagnose webpage issues; any professional exp providing support & feedback regarding use of performance testing & analysis tools; any professional experience developing &/or supporting open-source software in production setting; any professional experience using RUM (Real User Monitoring) / EUM (End-User Monitoring).
