Summary

Responsible for supporting Network Advancement project success during pre-planning phase by ensuring data accuracy, preparing preliminary business case, managing vendor priorities, initiating and managing task completions by other organizations, various reports supporting project status and team metrics.

Additionally, position will require evaluating and planning optimal network capacity utilization and design requirements. Evaluating inventory and billing to identify savings opportunities by consolidation network footprint to improve overall Corporate EBITDA. Developing tools and report views to support team in finding savings opportunities through analyzing current network designs, port/route consumption trends, new technologies and future opportunities for augmentation.

Essential Duties

Documents detailed technical methodology for installation of network equipment of lesser complexity, including written directions, graphical equipment layouts, and equipment topology.

Ensures all capacity constraints are identified such that all due dates are met and potential issues identified.

Develops understanding current network configuration and technology to ensure capacity and efficiency of the planned designs.

May assist in requirements, development, implementation and use of reporting procedures and methodologies to analyze network utilization and predict growth trends under direct supervision.

Prepares status/progress reports and updates management on projects.

May assist with the evaluation of new products to enable new service introduction, cost savings, and /or performance utilization under direct supervision.

May participate in cross functional teams to better understand the architecture and operations of the network with direct supervision.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum skills required to perform in this role.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or up to 2 years of relevant job experience. Relevant job experience is described as:

Job experience with similar essential duties Physical Requirements:

Office – Sits 5 to 7 hours per day; Bend, reach, stoop and crouch; lift 10 lbs.
