The Advanced Engineering Lab currently seeks an Principal Engineer for our Video and Network Engineering Lab. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position. This position is based in Broomfield CO and will be moved to Englewood CO by mid-2018.

Provides engineering technical support
Socializes best practices to the company
Works with development, testing and SMEs
Works as a liason with development
Focuses on single or multiple projects depending on complexity
Mentors and guides the work of senior technical staff
Technical oversight as related to projects and event management
Ability to evaluate potential candidates for other roles within team
Technical oversight for third party vendors

Required qualifications:
Advanced technical and design skills
Ability to evaluate and determine arichitectural solutions
Firm understanding of the architecture, technology and dependencies of the department
Experience with CCAP, CMTS, ARRIS E6000, Cisco cBR8, CASA C100G, DOCSIS, DSG, IPv4, IPv6, Multicast, OSPF,
BGP, VLANS, Spanning tree, Wireshark
Ability to act as a technical leader for all testing and configuration activities.
Ability to accomplish activities related to system design, equipment configuration and installation, integration,
testing and service validation.
Develop documentation related to design and proper configuration of system components.
Troubleshoot and analyze transport, networking and software configurations related to a video environment.
Has ability to transfer knowledge to team members and peers as necessary to insure the timely deployment of
new technology.

Related work experience
Engineering experience 5-10 years
Previous project management or lead experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant topic
