Project Manager – Communications IT

RSDCGROUP is seeking experienced Project Managers to manage the organization of key client projects, deliver projects on time within budget and scope with broad experience in business, management, budgeting and analysis. Seeking candidates to support projects in the Washington, DC Metro Area.


The Project Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day tactical duties for a moderately complex technical communications program. This role oversees results of multi- functional project teams, manages the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and/or customer and oversees project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained. Collaborates with resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received. Develops performance/project analyses during phase-down to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs.

* Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
* Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
* Ensure resource availability and allocation
* Develop a detailed project plan to track progress, integrating and interpreting analytical data from a variety of sources
* Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
* Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
* Report and escalate to management as needed
* Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
* Perform risk management to minimize project risks
* Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
* Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Project (expert user), Microsoft Excel
* Ability to create VBA Scripts in Microsoft Environments
* Understanding of GAO Schedule Assessment Guide
* Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
* PMP Desired
* Project Management experience and a Bachelors Degree with emphasis in Business or Engineering; or equivalent experience
