The Information Management & Analytics team has joint accountability with business operations to achieve Cignas customer-centric, business growth objectives and strives for high levels of alignment, day-to-day engagement and. The team provides analytical discipline and rigor to enable fact-based decisions for the business. Role Summary: This person will be a key member of a new data science team to focus on Dental/Vision & Stop Loss. He/she will collaborate in the development of comprehensive analytics and insights to help understand the performance of and identify improvement opportunities in Cigna’s Solution across Dental/Vision & Stop Loss business units. Other fun things youll do: Collaborate with your data science peers on a regular basis Learn new skills and add to the tool box that you presently use Be innovative with your training to help us solve real-world problems Impact the health and well-being of our customers (i.e., please research Cignas work on the opioid epidemic, driven by our teams) Be an insightful data science consultant and help our internal business leaders fine tune their solutions Responsibilities: 1.Utilize data science to create actionable insights and recommendations for business leaders. 2.Employ analytic methods to understand the performance of Cigna’s solutions as well as the integrated value of solutions across medical or pharmacy for example. 3.Identify the drivers of affordability and/or quality improvement (specific interventions or actions) and opportunities to enhance affordability or quality outcomes. 4.Collaborate with business leaders to design, launch and measure robust pilots to test new solution ideas or customer interventions. Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Statistics, Biostatistics, Econometrics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or Data Science. At least 3 years of experience in healthcare analytics/data science. Knowledge of healthcare data (e.g., claims, eligibility, groupers, profiling, EMR), statistical analysis aptitude, and demonstrated understanding of health care and delivery system processes Strong technical skills to extract large amount of data through SAS/Teradata/Hadoop/Oracle and construct easy to use tools and reports using VBA/Tableau/R/Python/GIS tools. Ability to formulate and execute appropriate confidence intervals, power analysis, bootstrapping, regression modeling, etc. Strong verbal/written communication skills to work with various matrix partners, including but not limited to actuarial, medical economics, contracting, business, marketing, and IT/IM. Experience collaborating with others to establish working relationships, communicate effectively across the organization, think and act strategically, and influence key leaders Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations.
