The Senior Software Development Engineer is responsible to understand the existing Long Term Care (LTC) dispensing product and work with the team to architect and implement an AWS-based SaaS solution. As a key member of the Software Development team, the Senior Software Development Engineer will play a central role in a strategic initiative – transitioning the existing client server based solution to AWS based SaaS solution which architecturally can be extended to support multiple product lines. Your Responsibilities
Work with Long Term Care (LTC) Product Managers to understand and clarify feature requirements.
Analyze existing product code and propose improvements for the next generation products.
Prototype specific features using C# and cloud services
Design and develop code primarily using C# with .Net.
Understand the components of InSite, and identify problems in customer data and configurations.
Architect the AWS based SaaS solution
Document developed code with appropriate levels of comments, drawings, and/or text documents.
Define test procedures and criteria for developed code.
Create instructions for testers, installers, and customer service; and work with documentation specialists to create and review polished documents for distribution.
Request necessary prerequisites for assigned tasks to proceed, as needed.
Report on work performed as required by Swisslog.Your Profile
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of professional application development experience with C#
Experience with AWS Services like (AWS Cognito, IoT, Lambda, API Gateway)
Experience deploying and managing containers through orchestration
Understanding of Web Services Technologies such as HTTP and REST
Strong exposure to Continuous Integration and Continuous Development
Knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
Experience with HTML, CSS, Angular JS would be a plus
Knowledge of MS SQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL would be a plus
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environment
Experience with JavaScript framework like Angular JS would be a plus

Desirable but not Essential:

Experience with healthcare systems and/or HL7 messaging
Experience with information security and/or privacy, especially HIPAA
UI implementation of web/HTTP, *******, WPF, and/or WinForms applications
