A typical day might include a discovery session where we are invited to the table and exposed to the business process, data flow and technology landscape of a Fortune 100 company to talk about improving their customer on-boarding process. The next day could be leading the design for proof-of-concept process to understand the impact of our solutions for a digital marketing application.

The Senior Solution Architect provides consulting, in partnership with Sales Executives and Advisors, to offer strong industry, technical, product and subject matter expertise to D & Bs largest clients. They lead efforts to develop marketplace "Share of Mind" and enhance the perception of D & B as a market and industry leader in product and data integration solutions. Additional responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:
– Apply technical expertise to position emerging D & B solutions with business and technical teams at high-end clients. Leverage new products and Web services standards to integrate D & B APIs within complex client and third-party applications.

– Build best-in-class full-sales-cycle support by engaging closely with clients in industry analysis, trending, and product knowledge, to account teams and directly to customers

– Deliver technical expertise to expand penetration and influence in client environments, and to create new revenue streams

– Performs customer discovery discussions to understand and document business needs and design requirements necessary for the formulation of optimal solutions

– Creatively designs solutions for customers using the best mix of D & B and vendor-partner products. Alters the design as needed to result in the customer choosing the D & B solution

– Documents, via diagrams and writing, and presents the solution to the customer, describes the benefits of the solution

– Builds relationships with customers serving as the technical liaison from pre-sales to post-sales

– Responsible for growing strategic product sales and revenue through proactive engagement with customers

– Participates in strategic and tactical account planning

– Follows industry technology trends through self-study and formal training and shares that knowledge with customers

– Leads internal cross-functional teams to obtain required approvals of non-standard designs for customers

Requirements:
– 10+ years related esperience. BS degree preferred; MBA a plus. Experience in various business disciplines, sales, technology, planning and implementation needed. Experienced working with product and third-party development teams and methodologies.

– Work experience in key verticals of Hi-Tech, Financial Services, Telcommunications, Insurance, Manufacturing or Transportanion/Trucking

– Domain knowledge in the areas of MDM, CRM, Marketing Automation, ERP and Digital Marketing stack.

– Well-versed in data integration technology, especially with services-oriented architectures (SOA), Web Services standards, enterprise messaging, and third-party application integration. Familiarity with current development trends, such as agile methodologies, SQL/NoSQL database management, and a variety of Web development and scripting languages (Java, Ruby, Javascript/JQuery, Python, HTML5/CSS, etc). Prior experience with enterprise systems, such as MDM, CRM, and ERP applications.

– Strong understanding of D & B (and/or competitive) product offerings, as well as integration options and best practices to drive additional value for complex clients

– Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships at senior management levels, both within D & B and with external clients, particularly with client developers, enterprise architects, and IT operations. Experience as a senior-level consultant is essential.

– Demonstrated track record of creatively developing and implementing advanced solutions

– Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills

– Ability to respond quickly to changing customer demands and market conditions

– Travel required (approximately 30%, but may vary based on account assignment)
