Network system administration support to MCBL Futures Laboratory of IT systems in a classified environment supporting Future Force Experimentation. Functions as hardware/software manager of a multi-platform, multi-operating system (OS), multi-network organization. Plans and implements required and requested system related upgrades, resolves hardware, software and networking problems using approved system administration tools and practices. Maintains required security solutions and provides technical expertise during organizational system design and implementation efforts. Documents required system administration tasks to meet accreditation and security standards as prescribed under current regulations. Prepares technical reports and related documentation and provides updates to MCBL management on information technology concerns within the organization. Performs system backups and recovery. Prepares and delivers presentations and briefings. Provides technical support for presenting MCBL automation requirements to NEC, NETCOM, TRADOC and other DOD organizations. May perform as a team leader and direct the work of other personnel. Support MCBL experimentation schedule by developing, installing and maintaining networks and communications systems. Duties include, but are not limited to, system integration and operation, maintenance, troubleshooting failures and determining root causes, installation, configuration and troubleshooting primarily Dell/HP hardware and Microsoft software. Must possess a Secret/SSBI security clearance.. College degree in management, business, or technical discipline from an accredited college. Experience may be substituted for degree. 5+ Years experience in routine and specialized maintenance tasks associated with ensuring NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and other networks and systems are operational and optimized to provide continual war fighter support. Perform routine and specialized maintenance tasks associated with ensuring end-user computers, peripherals, facsimile machines, photocopiers, and other equipment are operational and optimized to provide continual war fighter support..
