Description Huntington Ingalls Industries (Camber Corporation) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide. HII-Camber is currently seeking a Senior VMware System Administrator to work out of their San Antonio, TX location supporting the Administrative Office of the US Courts. The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Duties and Responsibilities: * Provide Tier 3 VMware vSphere infrastructure support via a ticketing system including provisioning, troubleshooting and assisting server and database administrators * Analyze vROPs performance reports and resolve incidents * Setup, configure, and troubleshoot NSX * Provide access to resources as required * Provide on-call support on rotation basis * Other VMware infrastructure projects as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications and Experience: Required- * Bachelors degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of IT experience + Additional years of experience can substitute the education requirement * Background should include: + Extensive VMware Virtualization Experience – design, implement, and manage VMware environment, including data center cluster(s) managed by vCenter + NSX Network Virtualization Experience – network knowledge, skills and demonstrated experience in a complex network data center environment + Knowledge and working experience of vRealize Operations (vROps) + PowerCLI/PowerShell scripting or equivalent + Knowledge and working experience with Windows (2012 and later) and Active Directory + Minimally, current VCP Data Center, Cloud, or Network Virtualization certification + Demonstrated effective project management experience * Problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills * Able to work and interact with others in a structured / team environment * Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands * Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Demonstrated ability to communicate to nontechnical audiences on technical issues + Demonstrated ability to communicate on a technical level to technical audiences * Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call * Ability to do limited travel (0-4 timesa year) Preferred- * VCP6 in either Data Center Virtualization or Network Virtualization * Red Hat Linux system administration * Database Administration Skills (MS SQL and Linux SQL preferred) Security: All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per HII requirements. #CamberIT See Job Description
