Pragmatics is seeking Software Developers for a full-time position, remotely supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) provides worldwide logistics support for the missions of the Military Departments and the Unified Combatant Commands under conditions of peace and war. In support of DLAs mission, DLA Information Operations, J6, is the Agencys knowledge broker, providing comprehensive, best practice Information Technology (IT) support to the Department of Defense (DoD) and DLA Business Community. DLA Information Operations has a requirement for professional services to support the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) program and to provide associated technical support. The program supports approximately 40,000+ end users world-wide and around the clock. The ITSM solution core architecture is built on version 9.1 of BMC Remedy based upon a suite of Commercial Off-The Shelf (COTS) products with minor customizations. The scope is to provide a broad range of IT technical support for the ITSM solution to assist in the accomplishment of the program. IT services include cyber defense, information assurance, network operations and maintenance, lifecycle management, IT planning, system sustainment, system management, system integration, system administration, technical support, technical analysis and guidance, technical troubleshooting, testing and evaluation, software management, software configuration, software customization, data support and reporting, asset management, software & hardware inventory, application enhancement, service desk support, end user support, architectural and infrastructure management, audio visual and video teleconferencing, upgrade or technology change support, documentation support, training support, and all relatable deliverables to these services. Duties of a software developer may include: * Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. * Acts as team leader on projects. * Participates in development of software user manuals. Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team. * Design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software Required Skills / Experience: * Five years relevant experience * Must possess active Secret security clearance with IT-II Access or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) * Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority COMPANY OVERVIEW Join an established and reliable mid-tier government contractor with a reputation for excellence.
