MedHub is specifically designed for the requirements of large teaching hospitals with many training programs, hundreds of trainees, multiple affiliates and multiple Medicare cost reports. MedHub has established itself as the leading medical education management system for large complex academic teaching hospitals. E*Value is a broader application, tailored to include the needs of a set of diverse educational programs from Schools of Pharmacy to Schools of Veterinary Medicine. The company is in the process of migrating the existing E*Value system to contemporary technology: Angular, C#, SQL Server. The full stack cold fusion developer will collaborate with the Chief Architect, Product Owner, and a team of developers to maintain and enhance the E*Value platform primarily in ColdFusion and Angular 1.x initially but taking on more C# and Angular 2+ as the product transitions. The ColdFusion present in the platform spans a wide range of coding practices accumulated over 20 years. The past few years have produced mostly AngularJS front ends with RPC ColdFusion object endpoints. Prior to that was several years of jQuery and YUI with procedural endpoints, and the first half of the platform was loosely based on the Fusebox framework with heavy use of hidden frames to emulate the asynchronous behavior that AJAX techniques later provided. In addition, the platform is very heavily dependent on SQL. Some SQL familiarity is highly recommended, and strong SQL expertise would be ideal. This position will be a permanent position. Responsibilities: * Translate User Stories in Jira to working code * Provide candid feedback on feasibility of user stories * Provide continuous feedback on opportunities for improving process to enhance quality, product performance and team velocity * Participate in Sprint meetings such as planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives * Participate in on-call rotation * Perform other related duties as assigned Education and Experience: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience * A minimum of 4 years of experience in a full-stack software development role * Experience working in agile or scrum environment using continuous integration is preferred. * Experience with software serving Medical or Educational needs and/or ADA Accessibility is also a plus Skills and Abilities: * Analytical thinker and problem solver * Strong focus on quality * Strong communication skills * SOLID object-oriented design skills * ColdFusion * AngularJS & Angular 2+ * Firm grasp of RESTful patterns * Other beneficial experience might include Bootstrap, strong CSS & SASS skills, Webpack (or similar), strong SQL skills (mainly MS SQL Server).
