– 2-5 years of system administration experience (Windows primarily; Linux is a bonus)
– 2-5 years of server/desktop virtualization experience (Citrix primarily; VMware is a bonus)
– General knowledge of backup/recovery systems (NetBackup experience preferred but not mandatory)
– Some general networking experience preferred
– Adept at determining and delivering solutions with a high level of customer satisfaction
– Good written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills

– Customer facing engineer to do some back- ups, minor patches, manage permissions, create folders, add/remove/change user accounts, perform
– Upgrades/patches/migrations, participate in disaster recovery planning and tests, etc.
– Collaborate with hardware and OS technical teams to ensure proper integration with each system
– Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners
– Work with other team members to ensure complete and timely resolution of customer questions and issues, and to complete any necessary follow-up on resolution
– Monitor and provide performance tuning to system components as required to ensure optimum system function
– Communicate on an as needed basis with the Service Desk to provide user support
– Ensure adequate documentation of all strategies, processes, and procedures related to the implementation and support of the environment
– Assist project teams with technical issues in the beginning stages of project management (including definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle;
technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling out solutions)
