Koniag Information Security Services is hiring Systems Administrators.
These are direct, full time positions with our company, working at our
customer s site in Alexandria, VA. Must have an active Secret
clearance or be able to obtain one.

The Systems Administrators will be on-site with DoD client developing
a single access point and an architecture framework for acquisition
visibility capabilities.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are
not limited to:
* Provides all activities related to the administration of
computerized databases
* Projects long-range requirements for database administration and
design in conjunction with other managers in the information
systems function
* Designs, creates, and maintains databases in a client/server
* Conducts quality control and auditing of databases in a
client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use
of data
* Advises users on access to various client/server databases
* Designs, implements, and maintains complex databases with respect
to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation
checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and
statistical methods
* Applies knowledge and experience with database technologies,
development methodologies, and front-end/back-end programming
* Performs database programming and supports systems design
* Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring
of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and
integration of systems through database design
* Provides configuration management planning
* Describes provisions for configuration identification, change
control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits
* Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated
changes are incorporated into product documents and related
* Designs and administers programs to include policies, standards,
guidelines, training programs, and a viable quality assurance
process for disaster recovery
* Oversees and reviews the testing and implementation of software,
data systems, and data networks to ensure that the integrity and
security of all electronic data and data systems are adequately
* Facilitates the preparation of an organization-wide business
resumption plan
* Assists in the coordination and establishment of disaster recovery
programs and business resumption planning across mainframe and
client server platforms
* Coordinates and monitors simulation testing across all platforms
* Designs and administers programs to include policies, standards,
guidelines, training programs, and a viable quality assurance
process for disaster recovery
Position Requirements
* Bachelor s Degree
* 5 years systems administration experience. A relevant professional
certification can be substituted for one year of experience
* Secret Clearance preferred or the ability to obtain a Secret
Working Environment & Conditions
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office
position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The
incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger,
handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and
arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit
for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do
simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The
incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific
vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance
vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust
