User Experience Research is a critical element to user centered design. Research drives many of the design decisions that go into making great gaming experiences. This role would involve engaging with business leaders across the organization to provide key research insights and translating long term strategy into operational objectives. A UX Research Manager is responsible for managing multiple research projects across diverse franchises, as well as coaching other researchers.
We are looking for a candidate who possess the ability to build, develop, and nurture relationships at all levels of the organization, including senior and executive level management. It requires building trust and influencing stakeholders, handling sensitive situations without damaging relationships. It also entails exhibiting thought leadership and people leadership skills, driving the practice of user research forward and the relationship between teams.
This position is directly responsible for the successful delivery of strategically executed UX research. The individual must be driven about developing themselves, the practice professional practices, and EA products.
Extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, balancing solid research and business needs
Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of research processes to enhance speed, quality, and output
Ability to propose creative ways to learn more about our users and products to inform design and business strategy
Strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task in order to successfully recommend actions in rapidly evolving situations
Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, and justifiable
Deliver high quality to tight deadlines
Advanced communication skills, including the ability to write and present concisely for C-level audiences, tact and diplomacy, influencing decision makers at all levels
Synthesizing research results and effectively convey to relevant stakeholders
Highly collaborative, team-minded person who consistently drives toward better outcomes for the business and the team
Experience managing people and projects effectively within a dynamic environment
Forecast staffing levels and build team accordingly
Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
Lead team to meet the organization’s expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
