Visit CenturyLink for more information.  Job Summary The CenturyLink Threat Research team is looking for an experienced web application developer to help develop web-based applications related to cybersecurity research. We ingest, store, and analyze huge data sets using Big Data technologies and advanced machine learning techniques. We need your skills to help create tools to allow analysts to access and analyze this data to identify threats on the internet. Job Description We are searching for a Web Application Developer that has experience building web applications using Python based frameworks. Candidates should have 3 years or more experience developing web-based applications.Candidates will have a strong background exhibiting: Deep understanding of web frameworks and the necessary technologies related to authentication, session management, and authorization Strong general JavaScript, HTML5, & CSS knowledge Experience with ReactJS and/or Angular to develop web front-ends Strong usability and interface design experience Expertise with JSON, AJAX, and Restful API design Experience and understanding of development in a Linux/UNIX environment Working knowledge of source version controls systems, preferably Git Additional desired skills include: Experience working with backend python technologies Experience with devops Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, and other distributed computing technologies Security domain knowledge desired Familiarity with security related data such as DNS, NetFlow, Whois, open source threat intelligence feeds, etc. desired Alternate Location: US-Colorado-Broomfield; US-Colorado-Denver; US-Colorado-Littleton Requisition #: 180260 This job may require successful completion of an online assessment.
