COMPUTER/IT Developer for Ariba, Inc. (Palo Alto, CA) to be responsible for design, coding, testing, & quality assurance of specific product features in an operational procurement invoicing development team. Bach dgr in Comp Sci, Engg, Math, or rltd field & 5 yrs of exp reqd, or alt, Master's & 2 yrs of exp. Exp must incl 2 yrs of exp involving: computer science fundamentals & programming with one or more software languages; JAVA programming language; Object Oriented programming; writing software programs to solve customer use cases; understanding customer issues, translating them into software requirements & designing how to programs based on software requirements; application architecture & design; programming according to existing architecture & programming practices; re-producing defects, debugging & troubleshooting problems based on log & symptoms provided by the customer; identifying the application code causing defects; making the appropriate code change needed to fix issues & testing it; application framework including hibernate, Struts & third party open source libraries including apache & Jersey; architecture design patterns; modeling & design software including Visual Studio & Rational Rose to design & document new features; Test automation framework such as Selenium, Junit or TestNG to write automation test code for new feature development & defect fix provided for customer issues; build software Ant & Maven; source code repository tools including Perforce & Github; debugging & troubleshooting production issues; monitoring tools alerts & mass production logs processing. 10% travel reqd.
