We’re looking to grow our Product and Technology team by bringing on some of the best and brightest developers to help us expand our software propositions. You’ll be coming into a great team with lots of well-established architecture to pick up and make your own. As a Firmware Engineer at Andersen EV you will work alongside our Full Stack Engineer and Product Manager to design, develop, and maintain our charge point firmware and electronics. You’ll be involved in the development of innovative solutions to help optimise our charging systems and give our customers access to the latest EV technology. Alongside your development work, you’ll be expected to uphold the detailed level of documentation and reporting that all our tech team deliver in support of new features and releases.
Responsible for the development of product firmware in embedded C/ C++ software
Assist in the electronic hardware design, schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM preparation
Support the for the product electrical and EMC certification and compliance process
Responsible for delivery of firmware and electronics from design to production products to mass manufacture
This is a mid to senior-level role for engineers with 5+ years’ experience
Experience of developing IoT / Smart Products both mains powered and low power battery
Experience of bare metal and RTOS development in C/C++
Comfortable using embedded tools such as oscilloscope, logic state analyser, etc.
Experienced in using Git / Bitbucket
Any exposure to Arduino and Particle would be advantageous
Experience of Open EVSE / RAPI / EV Charging technologies would be advantageous
Experience of LoRa / BLE /WiFi software development
End to end experience of the New Product Development cycle (NPD)
Some experience of commercial electronics and PCB design and development using Altium
Be proficient in verification, integration, testing, and validation
Have experience troubleshooting complex, random failures in the field through local simulation and complex analysis of reported data
Have experience with agile working methodologies
