HighPoint is currently seeking to hire an experienced Application Developer with extensive experience in Java, C#, C++, and webservices/APIs. This is a great opportunity to join a winning team at Ft. Meade. This position will be located at their brand new, state of the art facility. EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS;
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but will accept equivalent experience and education
5 – 8 years of hands on development experience
IAT II certification or higher (Security+ ce, CISSP, CASM, CEH, etc.)
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Experience working with Java, (J2EE, Struts, and Ajax)
Experience working with C# and C++
Experience developing secure applications
Experience developing and supporting websites, web services and APIsDesired experience:
Experience working with Perl, SQL, Unix OS
Experience responding to application security issuesJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support existing applications and their multiple interfaces, including operation, bug fixes, modifications, enhancements and upgrades
Perform installation, configuration, general maintenance, change management upgrades and testing activities as required
Support the infrastructure of a high-volume website and manage regular tasks and systems reviewPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of the time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc.Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs.Specific vision abilities required by this job include use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of time WORK ENVIRONMENT:Individual’s primary workstation is located in an office areaThe noise level in this environment is low to moderateAt HighPoint, our focus is on delivering results that matter.
