IBM Corporation, Austin, TX: Troubleshoot, fix and document problem tickets for Cloud Brokerage. Diagnose issues of Cloud Brokerage application and its interfaces with public and private cloud providers. Determine criticality of issues. Recreate customer issues. Serve as primary support liaison between engineering and customer. Monitor customer production and non-production environments. Fix outages in the software as a service application. Participate in root cause analysis to ensure issue does not repeat. Improve ongoing system reliability. Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and scale to support 100’s of clients. Utilize Java, Spring, RESTful services (REST), Docker, MariaDB, and Extensible Markup Language (XML).
Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree and one (1) year of experience as a Software Programmer, Software Engineer, or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Java, Spring, REST, Docker, MariaDB, and XML.
