Leidos National Security Sector is seeking an Applications Developer Systems Engineer to join an enterprise IT program. In this role you will utilize your experience developing mobile apps within the client’s primary Android platform, working within a team to meet mission needs.

In this role you will assist the client program manager with operational support, database support, collaboration with other operational teams, briefing customers, and the development and execution of strategy for complex technical solutions that are widely used and relied upon. This will include:

• Working within a team environment to achieve objectives,
• Utilizing your soft skills to interface and communicate with mission partners, team members, and stakeholders in a fast-paced and dynamic environment,
• Work with customers to translate operational needs into technical requirements,
• Track program progress, risks, issues, and dependencies,
• Serve as a geospatial technology and mobile Subject Matter Expert (SME),
• Support technical meetings with vendors to communicate program and mission requirements,
• Provide technical advice and direction based on practical knowledge of mobile phone hardware, mobile operating systems (Android/iOS), software (commercial, FOSS, and GOTS), and security mechanisms,
• Interact with the client’s Enterprise teams to integrate client’s geospatial mission data within a common, enterprise web application, to include system administration, database administration, file, and access management functions using Amazon EC2, S3, and related services,
• Develop mobile applications and be proficient with both Android and iOS app development.

Required Security Clearance:

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of work experience, additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Demonstrated experience with strong knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) applications and services
• Demonstrated ability to develop Android/iOS mobile applications using React including proficiency with Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, Xcode, Nodejs, and Javascript
• Demonstrated experience developing Windows and Linux application releases using the Electron framework
• Demonstrated experience working with small teams to manage software development activities
• Demonstrated experience working with customers to define functional requirements, concept of operations, and UI/UX design
• Demonstrated experience managing iterative software development releases
• Demonstrated experience tracking development sprints using JIRA
• Demonstrated experience managing source code in GitHub and GitLab
• Demonstrated experience developing test plans
• Demonstrated experience providing technical support and training to a broad client base
• Demonstrated experience understanding emerging technical trends
• Demonstrated experience in software engineering and development
• Demonstrated experience supporting technical operations

Desired Experience, Skills, and Education:

• Demonstrated experience with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Demonstrated experience documenting process and procedures
• Demonstrated experience with tool idea conceptualization and requirements design
• Demonstrated experience working with Windows, UNIX, and Linux platforms
• Advanced degree in Software Engineering or similar field of study

Pay Range:

Pay Range $126,100.00 – $227,950.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
