The Applications Systems Analyst Associate is responsible for the analysis, programming (report writing and system customization), production support, and system implementation for IT Clinical Systems. Primary focus is clinical systems that produce test results and diagnostic images.

* Performs work-flow systems analysis and design related to new application requests, system enhancements (i.e. reporting needs, system configuration changes, upgrades, etc.) and ongoing system support.
* Determines business requirements by consultation with customer.
* Investigate existing systems, assess current system capabilities, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
* Document relevant data and process flows, determine system inputs, processes and outputs.
* Assess available technology, document viable system design alternatives.
* Analyze and interpret system requirements documentation, system design documentation, and system data dictionary documentation in order to develop custom reports as well as to perform system customizations as allowed per specific application.
Serve as application upgrade or new system implementation project team leader or team member as required by supervisor.
Project Team Leaders are expected to: 1) Monitor and control project plan and project work deliverables; 2) lead implementation team as technical consultant to team members; 3) review application specifications and system designs and participate in program and test walktrough to provide and obtain suggestions regarding each project phase. 4) assist in developing and implementing test plans; 5) assist in evaluation of test results and 6) assist in quality assurance process for golive decisions. Escalate issues or barriers to success to senior leadership.
Project Team members are expected to: 1) have a thorough understanding of the project plan, their specific tasks, and the deadlines for meeting their tasks; 2) escalate any issues or barriers to task completion and project success to the Project team leader; 3) meet their required task deadlines.
* May perform other duties as assigned.


Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field plus 1 year experience supporting and maintaining computer systems OR High School diploma/GED plus 5 years experience supporting and maintaining computer systems.

Microsoft .Net MS SQL or Oracle experience desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
