One of Insight Globals clients is looking for an AWS Data Architect to join their growing team. This role will be responsible for helping to develop and contribute to the enterprise data strategy for build out of their data platform. This role will help to identify and prototype new ideas to modernize their current platforms. The role will also require demonstrating high level broad technical solutions to all levels of leadership and influence to drive change.

Additional responsibilities include:

Develop domain driven data models for various data sets for enterprise consumption.

Build data acquisition strategy to securely democratize data within the data hub to enable data exploration, machine learning modelling and experimentation.

Design and build business and technical data catalog for data management.

Participate in enterprise level architecture and design discussions.

Contribute to enterprise center for enablement for data with guidance on latest technology, tools, data analytics platform.

Architect design patterns that support data ingestion, data movement, data transformation, data aggregation, machine learning and data science.

Develop and enforce data governance model for data lineage, metadata management, data quality, data security, reporting & analytics, and regulatory compliance.

Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new distributed data stores.

Supporting architecture and design for data persistence layer of APIs and Digital experiences.

Experience with financial services or insurance industry.

Experience with one or more SQL-on-Hadoop technology (Hive, Impala, Spark SQL, Presto)

Experience with one or more relevant tools (Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, Oozie, Hue, Zookeeper, HCatalog, Solr, Avro)

Experience with AWS Container Services (EKS, ECS), and Data Streaming services (Kinesis).

Experience with data security for PII data, PHI data
10+ years of overall experience within Data Architecture environments

3-5+ years of experience in data lake/Hadoop platform implementation

Experience with AWS services Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB NoSQL, Relational Database Service (RDS), Amazon EMR and Amazon Redshift

Experience with Big data platforms like Hadoop and the Hadoop ecosystem for designing and building Data Warehousing, Data Lake

Experience with Insurance data modelling standards such as ACORD

Experience with loosely coupled architecture and asynchronous data patterns.

Driving data management architectures involving batch, micro-batch, and real-time streaming of data using AWS Services.

Experience working in agile environment leveraging advanced design and engineering best practices.

Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications.
