AWS Developer- Security
TRC is partnered with a leading government agency to identify an AWS Developer- Security to join their team!
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Developer – Security to support a government client in implementing and maintaining robust defensive cyber operations across multiple AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS security architecture, compliance with NIST standards, and experience deploying scalable security monitoring and incident response solutions.

Scope of Work

The selected resource will:

Implement defensive cyber operations across AWS environments.
-
Develop and manage Service Control Policies (SCPs) to enforce governance and compliance.

Configure and optimize AWS Security Hub and Amazon GuardDuty for continuous monitoring and threat detection.

Ensure alignment with NIST 800-53 security and compliance frameworks.

Design and deploy OpenSearch-based SIEM solutions for centralized event monitoring.

Create and maintain automated incident response playbooks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

Develop and execute attack simulation scenarios as code for red/blue team readiness exercises.

Required Skills and Certifications

CompTIA Security+ (active certification)
-
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
-
AWS Certified Security – Specialty
-
Hands-on experience with OpenSearch and SIEM solutions

Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)

Working knowledge of NIST 800-53 security controls and compliance requirements
