Bachelors in science, engineering or equivalent

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[95,000– 130,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Job summary

10 + Years of experience in Database technologies AWS.

Experience with the AWS glue spark and AWS services EC2 instance Uses and AWS architecture.

Understanding or experience on various AWS services which can be codified for enabling Lake Formation

SQL Developer Lambda functions.

Understanding or experience codify the AWS database changes for enabling DATA OPS like AWS redshift AWS dynamo DB etc.

Ability to use the AWS services APIs AWS CLI and SDKs to write application.

Roles & Responsibilities

Experience with monitoring solution such as CloudWatch Prometheus and the ELK Stack.

creates maintains and evolves an AWS cloud infrastructure for running applications.

Delivery lead with the ability to Lead development of data services and integrations on cloud-native stack and on prem stack.

Collaborate with architects analysts modelers and subject matter experts in domain and data modeling.

Good hands-on experience with ANSI SQL T-SQL programming.

Proficient in creating Stored Procedures Functions Triggers Tables and Views.

Proficient in writing complex queries using joins.

Experience in analyzing existing SQL queries for performance improvements.

Experience in troubleshooting optimization and performance tuning using SQL Profiler Performance Monitor and Execution Plan.

Previous exposure to large scale system design.

Ability to troubleshoot distributed system.

Knowledge of writing infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform.

Experience with building or maintaining Cloud native application.

Experience with the serverless approaches using AWS Lambda is a plus for example the Serverless Application Model (AWS SAM).

Follow and provide feedback to technical guidance on standards design patterns architectural patterns and frameworks for data services and integrations.

Responsible for working within a team to deliver data integration projects across a wide variety of systems in support of business functions and processes to improve end user experience.
