Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Risk Specialist Examiner Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas TX-Dallas Full-time Regular Exempt Experienced Yes, 50 % of the Time Day Job M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm, with flexibility Tier II – Credit Check About the Role: We are looking for a Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Risk Specialist Examiner to lead and participate in examinations of community and regional financial institutions to assess the effectiveness of the institution’s Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) compliance program. Responsibilities include analyzing and evaluating the institution’s policies, procedures, and controls to identify, monitor and manage BSA/AML risk. You will collaborate with six other team members primarily located in Dallas to assess whether supervised financial institutions have adequate controls to safeguard the financial system from the abuses of financial crime, including terrorist financing, money laundering and other illicit activity. You Will: – Partner with safety and soundness examiners to efficiently schedule and execute the BSA portion of the examination of financial institutions. – Analyze institution policies, procedures and controls related to BSA strategy, risk, and independent testing. – Collaborate with BSA and safety and soundness examiners and Reserve Bank management to recommend BSA supervisory conclusions. – Create organized work papers to document your analysis and support your conclusions. – Build and maintain strong relationships with examination team members and business lines. You Have: – Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, audit or other business-related field of study preferred. – Minimum of three years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, or banking supervision; experience in audit preferred. – Professional AML certifications (e.g. CAMS) preferred. – Experience evaluating BSA risks and prudent practices for managing those risks. – Experience applying BSA and risk management concepts within a regulatory framework. – Demonstrated teamwork, communication, analysis, and critical thinking abilities. – Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements (except for a bachelor’s degree).
