Biomedical Engineer
Position Summary
This middle-level professional biomedical engineering position focuses on medical imaging devices and driving post-market deployment and usage of Glassbeam’s tools and solutions.
Responsibilities
Daily tasks include monitoring and analyzing Glassbeam’s product performance, using Glassbeam’s tools to conduct investigations of adverse events, validating alerts and error events from Medical Imaging equipment and associated devices, preparing reports and
data driven findings to ensure proper usage of Glassbeam’s offerings, identifying areas for improvement and driving product improvements based on such findings.
Perform Root cause analysis as needed for specific adverse events to drive knowledge transfer and enhancing predictive alert capabilities of the Glassbeam’s suite of Service Analytics products.
Maintain templates, protocols and evaluation data to provide feedback to product teams for product improvement and evolution.
Experience and Skills
An Associate biomedical engineering degree with 5+ years of field experience or a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or related field with 1-2 years of hands-on experience with medical imaging devices. Prior experience with product surveillance and
monitoring tools or quality assurance in a regulated medical device industry is a plus.
Exposure to field service and familiarity with CT scanners, MRI and Vascular interventional devices is a must. Should be able to engage in topics discussing troubleshooting and technical areas of operations and usage of these medical devices with customers and
other stakeholders. These topics will not include clinical touchpoints or interpretations.
Needs familiarity and skilled usage of Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Additional competencies in BI tools, data visualization and data analysis technologies area plus.
