Johnson Controls’ “Data Enabled Business (DEB)” focuses on connecting systems, gathering data from building sensors and other relevant data streams, and generating operational efficiency, savings, and a converged occupant experience for our customers. Our products are flexible, open and scalable cloud based digital platform that can help customers to realize its vision in data transformation. The Platform solves the challenge of Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) integration.

What you will do

Join our Data Enabled Business team at India Engineering Center as a Business Analyst including documenting detailed scope and BRD.

Working knowledge on building automation and industrial automation systems is preferred.

How you will do it

Responsibilities will include

  • Gather requirements, develop business requirement documents (BRDs) and obtain sign-offs from the appropriate parties

  • Coordinate with all stakeholders across all stages of the SDLC

  • Review and analysis of project requirements for clarity, understanding and feasibility

  • Create wire frames, process flows, wire-frames, mock-ups, and associated documentation

  • Ensure key risks and issues are identified, documented, mitigated and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner

  • Act as an liaison and communication channel between Operation and technology on issue resolution, status, project execution and prioritization

Information Security Responsibilities

  • Adhere to JCI policies, guidelines and procedures pertaining to the protection of information assets.

  • Adhere to JCI product security standards and guidelines for secured software product development.

  • The software, licenses, shall be deployed and used only in accordance with JCI licensing agreements.

  • Unless provided in the applicable license, notice, or agreement, copyrighted software shall not be duplicated, except for backup and archival purposes.

  • Any software that is acquired illegally or does not have a valid license shall not be deployed or used. Copying of third party materials without an appropriate license is prohibited.

  • The employees, contractors or third-party personnel shall not copy, extract or reproduce in any way, copyrighted material from the Internet on information systems provided by organization, other than permitted by copyright law.

  • Implement appropriate physical and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets.

  • All employees, contractors and third parties shall be responsible to report all information security incidents, alerts, warnings and suspected vulnerabilities, in a timely manner, and share such information only with authorized personnel.

What we look for

Required

  • 5 years to 10 years of relevant experience as Business analysis including documenting detailed scope and BRD

  • Gather requirements, develop business requirement documents (BRDs) and obtain sign-offs from the appropriate parties

  • Coordinate with all stakeholders across all stages of the SDLC

  • Review and analysis of project requirements for clarity, understanding and feasibility

  • Create wire frames, process flows, wire-frames, mock-ups, and associated documentation

  • Ensure key risks and issues are identified, documented, mitigated and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner

  • Act as an liaison and communication channel between Operation and technology on issue resolution, status, project execution and prioritization

  • Providing weekly status reports to Management

  • Monitor existing metrics, develop and propose new metrics to make actionable intelligence available for business decisions

  • Analyze and review large quantitative data sets and creating meaningful reports to drive business improvements

  • Strong problem solving skills along with the ability to pay attention to detail and ability to assimilate fragmented facts into a detailed problem statement

  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to efficiently articulate technical subject matter

  • Strong organizational skills and requires the ability to read, write and speak English fluently

  • Professional demeanor, resourcefulness, flexibility, and self-motivation

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in high stress/fast paced work environment

  • Team player, reliable and dependable.

  • Good communication skills, with an ability to express and understand complex technical concepts.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.

  • Good to have engineering product development experience in Building Management domain.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Experience of working with globally distributed teams.

  • Innovative and Self learner for mentoring and problem resolutions.
