Job Description:

Bp is seeking a Business Analyst to join our IGI Resources team! IGI Resources is a natural gas and power trading and transportation company (a bp subsidiary) located in Boise, Idaho. IGI is a customer focused business where the highest quality and hassle-free customer service is expected to be delivered all customers. 

The Business Analyst will partner closely with the customer balancing team, gas scheduling team, marketing and origination team and certain functional groups including contracts, confirmations, settlements and deal entry specialists. This role reports to the Customer Balancing Manager.

You will be responsible for entering deal details into the system of record each month which must be accomplished within prescribed time limits.  Directly connected with deal entry will be understanding and reviewing the related transaction confirmations generated before they are sent to the customer.  Month end accounting activity will include work arounds and updating the ENDUR system to deliver accurate and timely invoices to the customer.

Essential job experience and requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong emphasis on Excel (i.e. Intermediate excel proficiency)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven communication skills – both verbal and written
• Independent thinker and self-starter
• Ability to work independently and across other team members
• Ability to work within certain time constraints
• Ability to adapt to different technology platforms
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US

Desired qualifications

• Natural gas industry experience
• Data entry, invoicing, and/or contract review experience

Key accountabilities

• Entry of deals (transactions) done by the marketing & origination team to the system of record (ENDUR)
• Entry of customer information to support our invoicing process each month
• Routine entry of information to support the customer balancing and scheduling teams
• Development of work around solutions for certain invoicing and accounting issues that arise
• Understanding of IGI’s transaction confirmation templates and review of such before releasing
• Deliver minimal administrative duties that may arise during the month
