The National Security Sector at Leidos is currently hiring for a Business Analyst for an Agile, cloud-based data, and analytics platform contract. As the Business Analyst, you will provide support for an Agile, cloud-based data, and analytics platform contract. You will work together with DevOps and software engineers, development teams, human centered designers, test engineers, and PMO to work with stakeholders to gather and document key functional and technical requirements, assist in development of the business case, and collaborate with internal development teams to deliver technology solutions that meet the business need and deliver value. You must be self-driven, and feel ownership over the project, team, and process. This role is expected to be on-site at a Leidos facility in Gaithersburg, MD, with travel to various government sites in the Washington Metro Area. This opportunity is contingent upon contract award.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with clients to understand their business requirements and work with developers to translate them into technical solutions.
  • Assist with prioritization of business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain business requirements documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA to ensure that technical solutions meet business requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training to users on new functionality.
  • Ensure that solutions are properly documented.
  • Assist and support the development and implementation for new and significant improvements to major processes through collaboration with colleagues.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of business processes, best practices, and can support technology & documentation. 
  • Work and collaborate closely with key stakeholders to document the key business goals and objectives for a new or existing process. 
  • Prepare detailed requirement specifications in the form of user stories or functional requirement documents for the development teams.
  • Collaborate with development teams to produce any required documentation or communications that may be necessary in support of the project including project status, project roadmap, release plan, etc.
  • Work closely with Q/A Analyst to assist with developing test cases/scenarios and detailed acceptance criteria.
  • Support project delivery by working with the user community to document and coordinate user acceptance testing and training plans.

What does Leidos need from me?

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have a Green Card.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance (Background Investigation). 
  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline and four to eight years of prior relevant experience or Masters with two to six years of prior relevant experience. 
  • Experience in Agile software development.
  • Experience in requirements analysis.

Favorable if you have:

  • Experience and knowledge with Azure Cloud and other Azure DevOps applications and tools.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 – $124,550.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
