Job Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst​ to capture requirements, synthesizing them with scope and priority and assess the expected behavior and associated risks. This position will be a full-time contract and hybrid in Trenton, NJ.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct user research and participate in stakeholder meetings to assess customer pain points, understand business processes, and identify opportunities for improving digital experience

  • Capture, validate, and translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional requirements, use cases, and technical specifications with appropriate scope, priority, and level of detail

  • Facilitate requirements prioritization and negotiation amongst multiple stakeholders

  • Perform GAP analysis to document differences between existing business requirements and current business model to define system procurement needs

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including user flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, business/logical/physical data models, process flows, and ad-hoc reports

  • Develop detailed functional designs and use cases suitable for development teams

  • Collaborate with design teams in brainstorming sessions to discuss business scope and provide feedback on performance, customer experience, and security measures

  • Work closely with vendors, developers, and cross-functional team members throughout the Software Development Life Cycle to ensure products are built to specifications

  • Coordinate activities between State Agency Project Manager and Vendor partners to ensure seamless process execution

  • Identify, assess, and communicate issues and risks associated with Epic/Feature/Stories

  • Apply best practice risk management to anticipate challenges and develop mitigation plans with the team

  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness of deliverables

  • Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project lifecycle

  • Manage changes to baselined requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools

  • Review, comment, follow-up, and prioritize reported defects and enhancement requests

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • 5 years’ experience with business analysis and testing

  • Knowledge of requirements traceability

  • Knowledge of requirements elicitation

  • Knowledge of developing test cases and scenarios

  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and the implementation of Software as a Service (SaaS) solution

  • Knowledge of “As-ls” and “To-Be” Modelling

  • Experience in the standard concepts, practices, and deliverables related to Business Analysis in support of software development projects

  • Experience with all the aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC)

  • Superior planning skills with the ability to handle large workload and facilitate the activities of dynamic work groups

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot complex application issues

  • Exceptional research skills and resourcefulness

  • Proven ability to lead diverse groups of resources to solution agreement by leveraging influencing skills to drive consensus

  • Effective communication skills; listening, written and verbal; ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experienced user of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio, MS Teams and MS PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • Experience with large scale system modernization

  • Knowledge of COT/Saas large scale implementations/modernizations

  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Experience in the implementation of Salesforce applications

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$65 – $73 per Hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
