Business Analyst III- Data

Were seeking a driven, articulate problem-solver to join our company as a Business Analyst (BA) III – Data, where youll be assigned items from our product road map and create requirements/user stories and acceptance criteria by eliciting feedback from internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, youll become our systems expert, developing a comprehensive understanding of where the data is coming from, how its used, how it populates and how we process it. Youll serve as the BA for the Data Science team, advising on how and where we should be incorporating data into our existing products, and how we can offer data as a service down the line. Were looking for an expert communicator with a solid understanding of product ownership: someone who can effectively translate the highly technical to a non-technical audience. * Maintain a prioritized and transparent team backlog based on customer value. Articulate the customer value of each backlog priority to the data science team. Encourage healthy debate on how to solve the personas problem while focusing on the who, the what and the why. Available for agile team and participation in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, planning, grooming, sprint reviews and retrospectives. Facilitate effective backlog grooming sessions with data science team. Solicit feedback from end users and internal stakeholders through effective sprint reviews and meetings Partner with product managers to understand the market, strategic vision and direction of the product. Partner with program technical and UX architects to ensure projects are ready for development. Create and organize epics and user stories, based on market evidence, to start a conversation with the data science team on how to solve the personas problem. Validate completed user stories meet quality standards defined in the definition of done and address the personas problem. Develop a deep understanding of the personas needs through direct and indirect contact. Communicate development milestones to internal and external stakeholders. Balance sustainment responsibilities with creating new customer value and mitigate carrying debt. Document user perceivable changes for successful downstream creation of supporting materials Train the trainer. Prepare customer service and sales operations for appropriate organizational readiness needs. Share market knowledge with the data science team gained by customer and prospect interactions. Work closely with the test engineering to ensure test cases trace align with acceptance criteria. Act in a consultative capacity with UX architects while design activities occur. Identifies and manages situations requiring complex communication for internal and/or external audiences Regularly keeps abreast of industry news and competitive offerings Demonstrate expertise and proficiency within many technologies and domains. Able to provide mentorship to junior team members. Consistently ensures that business is conducted with integrity at all times and that behavior aligns with iCIMS policies, procedures, and core competencies


Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science or in a related area Expertise in multiple Technologies, Products or Domains Works cross-functionality to create company success Ability to think outside the box and develop solutions that may not be immediately obvious Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously Experience in Software Product Development Demonstrable knowledge of software development lifecycles and activities. A strong understanding of software Agile methodologies, particularly ScrumEducation/Certifications/Licenses Required BA/BS in a business, computer science, information technology related field or related experience. BI/SQL knowledge or certification (not required, but nice to have)
