About The Job

This job is a member of the Information Technology Team, within the Information Technology Division. This position will be responsible for the identification, documentation, management and communication of scope and requirements for multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, generate requirements, track and resolve project issues and create and manage user stories.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

* Gathers, generates and documents requirements through interviewing and facilitation

* Translates business functional and non-functional requirements into the appropriate Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Requirements Document (FRD), Process Flow Diagrams and Business Scenarios and Rally User Stories

* Participates in the creation of the project artifacts (i.e. Requirements Traceability Matrix, Test Plan, Defect Reporting Matrix) with the Project Manager (PM)

* Works collaboratively with customer and user groups, technical leads, development resources, engineers, architects and external project teams

* Applies all phases of Project Delivery Methodology Design, Plan, Create and End (DPaCE) Agile activities

* Works with the 3rd Party Vendors (e.g., Sabre, DXC, AOS, etc.) to design and deliver the approved solution

* Tests (Positive, Regression, Negative Impact and No Harm) all new or enhanced software activations

* Tracks progress and provides project status reports according to the information needs of the stakeholders including, at times, executive level staff

* Acts as a business subject matter expert

* Assists with training of business operations office staff on use of system, business processes and procedures

* Provides on-call application support (24 x 7 x 365), as required

* Travels domestically and internationally, as required

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

* 3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst

Preferred Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst

* Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project, Access)

* Experience gathering and documenting complex system requirements, technical specifications and developing detailed system diagrams

* Experience in analysis techniques, such as requirements gathering and use case development

* Experience delivering in-house and externally-developed applications

* Understanding of failover, disaster recovery, mirroring concepts and experience delivering mission-critical applications in a high-availability environment

* Knowledge of SDLC, DPaCE or Agile methodologies

* Experience with FOS, Rally, Planview, Fieldglass, Quality Assurance Testing Tools and HP Quality Center (ALM)

* Broad understanding of crew operations or flight operations processes

* Strong organization, planning, interpersonal and negotiating skills

* Strong analytical, estimating and problem solving skills

* Unified Modeling Language (UML) experience is a plus

* Knowledge of QA and testing methodologies, including frameworks such as Junit and Cucumber is a plus

* SQL experience is a plus
