Business Intelligence Intern
Introduction
Overview
As a member of the Business Intelligence team, you will gain exposure to a variety of areas within the Information Technology field through projects in creating dashboards, reports, and completing research on improving data mining.
How you’ll make an impact
Interns on the Business Intelligence team will typically be given one primary project for the summer, along with several smaller projects to build select skills.
- Use Power BI data visualization tools to create data visualizations and dashboards in support of our clients and internal business partners.
- Create complex SQL queries to obtain insights from our data to help improve contact center efficiency.
- Work with stakeholders to collect requirements and collaborate on insight and visualizations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with our internal and external stakeholders
Projects are designed to gauge the ability of the intern to:
- Analyze data and produce visual depictions that reveals the patterns, trends, or correlations between different points
- Answer complex questions by generating hypotheses and quantitatively testing them
- Collect, cleanse, and interpret data sets in order to answer questions or solve a problem
About You
- Enrolled toward a bachelor’s degree or higher, with strong academic credentials
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience with writing SQL queries
- Bonus if you possess enterprise analytics skills (e.g., R, Python, SAS); however these skills are not required

The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
