Uline is looking for a sharp, hardworking and ambitious Business Intelligence Manager to join our Information Technology team.

The Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of reporting, querying and analysis solutions across the company. The BI Manager is also responsible for creating a beneficial reporting strategy and ensuring best practices are maintained. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant experience, plus experience managing multiple platforms and BI tools. Excellent knowledge of database design, SQL, data warehousing, and business intelligence solutions is a must.
Develop a BI and reporting strategy that aligns with the company’s needs.
Develop, implement and maintain reporting, querying and analytical solutions.
Develop and enforce best practices and standards.
Work with the EDW delivery team to ensure that reporting requirements are met in EDW delivery work streams.
Advise reporting tool power users on best practices for information delivery solutions.
Evaluate new technologies, tools and methods that could help support the BI and reporting strategy.
Work with database administrators to ensure that databases feeding the reports are tuned for optimal performance.
Support the enterprise with skilled development resources, knowledge and tools to improve the quality and speed of information delivery to the business.
Manage a team of Business Intelligence professionals.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
10+ years related experience.
Direct experience managing multiple platforms and BI tools.
Excellent knowledge of database design, SQL, data warehousing and business intelligence solutions.
Knowledge of IBM Cognos BI, SAS and Microsoft BI technology (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) preferred.
Ability to motivate and inspire team members.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex topics in terms relatable to business partners.
Ability to facilitate productive meetings.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems, determine appropriate actions and complete projects with little direction.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a multi-project environment, while ensuring production systems are up and performing well.
Experience in waterfall and agile development processes.
Available for travel to Uline’s domestic and international branches.
