Role Description
As an Asset Manager, you will be responsible for managing, tracking, and resolving issues related to customers’ Cisco hardware and software assets. Acting as a liaison between Cisco and EOS internal teams, you will ensure accurate asset data, develop strategies to manage the IT asset lifecycle, and maintain the integrity of the customer’s install base.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Asset Lifecycle Management: Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets, from identification and control to status accounting and verification.
- Data and Reporting: Track, report on, and resolve issues for customers’ Cisco asset data.
- CMDB Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of Cisco’s data aligns with the customer’s install base.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the single point of contact for EOS internal teams and Cisco, including sales and customer experience.
- Strategy and Process: Develop and maintain strategies, policies, and procedures for Service Asset and Configuration Management.
Required Skills
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Cisco products and services.
- Tool Knowledge: Familiarity with Cisco Ready, Cisco CCW-R, PXP, EAWS, Cisco Software Central, and ServiceNow is preferred.
- Data Management: Experience managing and maintaining large datasets, including a CMDB.
- ITIL/SACM Knowledge: Understanding of IT Service Management processes, particularly Service Asset and Configuration Management.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to act as a liaison and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of experience in Cisco IT asset management, specifically with install bases.
- Strong understanding of Cisco hardware/software lifecycle and support agreements.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Experience with inventory management tools and data reconciliation processes.
