Job Title: Cloud Engineer, Chicago, IL
The Cloud Engineer will help develop products and services for CI&T clients, validate architectures, communicate and solve problems, and ensure alignment between the CI&T and client teams.
You may also participate in relationships with technical stakeholders (architects, developers, and operations teams) from the client side. We are looking for people passionate about technology, and the positive impact that its proper use may cause to businesses.

If so, you’re a proficient fullstack developer, with a track record of using your knowledge to help solve complex business problems. You are a quick learner, understand that listening is as important as speaking, and you feel excited about actively collaborating on new solutions and trying new things.
-Build and provision customer environments mainly in Google Cloud and occasionally to other providers, such as AWS and Azure.
-Support and help plan migration of applications to the cloud or between clouds.
-Help define and maintain continuous delivery and deployment solutions and tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Spinnaker, etc).
-Design, test and deliver infrastructure to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency.
-Support team members by answering technical questions and training people on Cloud Concepts/Solutions.
-Communicate clearly and efficiently to team members (on-site and offshore) and clients, being able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context.
-3 years of server-side development experience using Java, NodeJS, Restlet, PHP, and/or similar.
-Python or scripting experience in Shell.
-Knowledge of Cloud technologies (Google Cloud, AWS or Azure).
-Proven ability to work with software engineering teams and understand complex systems, environments and patterns.
-Experience working with virtualization or containerization technologies.
-Soft skills like problem-solving, sense of challenge and fast-learning.
-Availability to travel and work across North America (up to 50%). CI&T offices will always be available for you, but many times you will be required to work on-site or remote.
-Experience with front-end technologies (React, Angular, Polymer etc.).
-Experience working with Unix/Linux systems including file systems, and client-server protocols.
-Previous experience migrating applications to the cloud or between clouds.
-Cloud architect certification, like GCP, AWS or Azure.
-Understand and know when/how to deploy solutions and concepts like:
-Microservices and containers solutions like Docker, Kubernetes, Istio etc.
-Different database/storage solutions like Cloud Storages (GCS, S3), SQL, No-SQL, and columnar databases.
-Scalable data processing frameworks like Spark, Hadoop, and Apache Beam/DataFlow.
-Have at least a basic knowledge of network, firewalls, VPC/VPN and how to secure cloud components and APIs.
