Irving, Texas, is centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth and is home to more than 239,000 residents. The City of Irving seeks a creative, innovative, and highly motivated person to become the next Chief Technology Officer. The incoming Chief Technology Officer will have exceptional interpersonal skills along with being a strong, forward-thinking leader. The Chief Technology Officer oversees a multifaceted department and is a member of the Executive Team for the City of Irving. This position reports directly to the Assistant City Manager of Quality of Life and Internal Services.
The Information Technology Department is staffed with 35 FTEs, 1 part-time intern and is resourced with an annual operating budget of approximately $15 million.
The next Chief Technology Officer will need to be a strong and innovative leader with the following experience:
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Public Administration, Business Administration, Information Technology, Leadership Studies, or a closely related field.
Minimum of ten (10) years of increasingly responsible related experience, including five (5) years of administrative and management experience.
