Systems Engineer

We are relocating to a remodeled office adjacent to the Domain in January. We’re invested in creating a pleasant work environment, and bit-by-bit we are crafting the
office of our dreams. We currently offer adjustable sit/stand desks and multiple monitors.

We fund educational materials and certification tests. Your certs belong to you, and we do not require you to stay for a set period of time or be forced to reimburse us.

We offer the ability to work remotely one or two days a week, dependent on current workload.


You want an opportunity to grow and lead, and can present a reasonable and clear argument on why your processes make sense.

You have a strong background in Microsoft technologies and small/midsize business IT.

You can fill out tickets properly and promptly, and you’re great at communicating with clients and your internal team. You know how to juggle multiple projects and
priorities at the same time, and you stay on top of status changes and communicate them effectively.

You have excellent desktop support skills (you will not be doing much of this, but sometimes issues will be escalated to you).

You have good training and mentoring abilities for our helpdesk staff.

Ideally you are deeply familiar with a few of these technology areas, and have at least a mid-level understanding of all of them:

  • Exchange / Office 365
  • Networking: Firewall configurations (especially
    Fortigate), switching, routing/VLANs
  • Windows Server including IIS, Active Directory,
    group policy, other roles
  • Duo DAG deployment and configuration
  • Virtualization, preferably VMware, including
    scoping server/host upgrades
  • Document management requirements, design,
    implementation and support

You love automating processes. Labtech/Automate and PowerShell expertise is a plus.

You can learn quickly and on your own if necessary. We support each other as much as possible, but you will be a technical leader at the company and may not have someone to fall back on in some situations.

You are not above any job. You may occasionally have to take out the trash, answer the phones, or perform other tasks not in your main job role. We are a small business and there is no room for big egos here.

Compensation: $80-$100k/yr plus incentives and bonuses
