The Leidos Intelligence Group has a career opportunity for a System Engineer in the Ft. Meade, MD area.

Program Summary
Leidos is a preferred subcontractor on a large, multi-year contract that provides hardware and software sustainment of large IT systems. Contractors perform dataflow changes, lifecycle management including modernization of aging hardware and software, as well as system monitoring.

The work is extremely important to the government and offers its team members the opportunity to work autonomously and explore new technologies. We provide exceptional service to our customer in an area in which we have deep incumbent knowledge.

Job Summary

The System Engineer applies engineering principles throughout a system’s life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed.

Personnel across this TTO are performing architecture modernization/evolution as well as integration, test, and deployment, and are working with the following technologies:

LINUX, REDHAWK, Docker/Kubernetes, Python, Java, Angula, Ansible Git

The ideal candidate will be fully capable in a LINUX environment and knowledgeable in K8/Docker (not an expert), while also being familiar with RF waveforms.  If the candidate was knowledgeable on REDHAWK, that would also be a plus.

Required Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of systems engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• LINUX
• K8/Docker
• TS/SCI with Polygraph

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with FORNSAT
• REDHAWK

Pay Range:

Pay Range $97,500.00 – $176,250.00
