Our client, a leading organization in critical infrastructure management, is seeking a Data Center Electrician to join their team. As a Data Center Electrician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting Data Center Operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Electrician

Location: Austin, TX

Pay Based on Experience

Shift: 5am – 5pm, Sun, Mon, Tues & every other Wednesday

What’s the Job?

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment supporting critical data center infrastructure
  • Collaborate closely with Data Center Operations and Engineering teams to ensure seamless communication and project execution
  • Perform general maintenance, preventive maintenance, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and emergency repairs within the data center environment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment such as VFDs, switchgear, and motors with voltages ranging from 120-480V and 4160-25kV
  • Troubleshoot motors, VFDs, and complex electrical circuits to ensure uptime and data center reliability

What’s Needed?

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as an Industrial or Commercial Electrician; data center or critical infrastructure experience preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with hand tools, electrical meters, and testing equipment specific to data center applications
  • Knowledge of sizing conductors, conduits, and using the NEC Code Book for electrical work within a data center
  • Experience with electrical systems from 24VDC to 25kV AC, including troubleshooting motor controls, drives, and electronic components
  • Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics for proper installation and modifications
