Database Administrator
The Charleston Digital Hub of Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking qualified candidates for a Database Administrator in the Charleston, SC area.

The Charleston Digital Hub operates and executes much like a fast-paced software development startup within the larger organization. Database Administrators at the Charleston Digital Hub design, develop and deliver/implement data solutions to include: architecture design, prototyping of concepts to proof of concept, development of standards, design and development of test plans, code and module design, development and testing, data solution debugging, design and implementation of a solution that follows efficient design techniques and development that meets and exceeds the intent of the design of the data solution. They assist in the planning and engineering of an organization’s databases. They monitor the performance, scalability and security and evaluate existing database design to determine necessary updates and integration requirements of new design, and to ensure final solutions meet organizational needs.

What You Need:
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-2+ years of experience with PL/SQL development
-Experience with Agile Software Development methodology
-Experience with database specific change management continuous integration and deployment
-Experience in database administration, including performance tuning, environment availability, or capacity planning
-Experience with supporting hybrid Cloud infrastructures and working with hosting providers to support releases, patches, network connectivity, and high availability
-Experience with JavaScript development in both Web environment and as plug-ins in database tools
-Experience with building Web applications with Java, .NET, C#, or similar technologies
-Knowledge of the existence of foundation architecture standards; supports the need to adhere to standards
-Ability to design and develop complex SQL queries and reports to retrieve required data
-Ability to develop solutions or write software to analyze large datasets to identify places to improve performance and detect system performance changes
-Ability to provide code review on SQL change sets and work with developers to create and enforce best practices

What Would Be Nice:
-BA or BS degree
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Experience with Liquibase source control tools
-Experience with NoSQL with systems such as MongoDB
-Experience with big data analytics platforms like Hadoop
-Experience with Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) administration
-Disaster Recovery Knowledge: Creates disaster recovery plans for own environment and helps document procedures, plans and tests recovery procedures in a remote backup environment
