Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity, with a preference for candidates located near Trenton, NJ. This role focuses on supporting and enhancing the Database operations, including the migration and upgrade of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
What You’ll Do

Manage client requirements and ensure their database needs are met

Write shell scripts to automate backup processes

Test and validate database functionalities and migrations
-
Document database configurations, processes, and changes
-
Perform data analysis and database management tasks
-
Enhance and maintain data dictionaries and logical/physical database models
-
Conduct performance tuning to optimize database systems
-
Use SQL for database definition and data control
-
Monitor database performance using utility programs
What You’ll Need
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
-
Experience with Oracle 12c to 19c migrations
-
Proficiency in Oracle and SQL Server databases
-
Strong understanding of DDL/DML operations
-
Ability to troubleshoot errors based on ETL process codes
-
Experience with SAP Business Objects administration
-
Experience with Teradata
-
Familiarity with Unix operating systems
-
Experience using VB Scripts or Python
-
Knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica or DataStage
Physical Demands

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
The pay range for this position is $48 – $55 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law
